Adolescent exposure to Sun's rays protects them from hay fever

A recent study by researchers at the Royal children's Hospital Melbourne, that adolescents who spend more time in the Sun, 4 hours a day, under the risk of eczema and hay fever.

The Australian study linked the higher exposure to the Sun during the summer holidays, and a significant reduction of the levels of eczema and hay fever or pasture, without being able to explain why.
It should be noted, that there is a belief that it is a mechanism other than getting enough vitamin d which is gained through the Sun.
The study predicted that exposure to sunlight enhances defenses against bacteria by stimulation of antimicrobial peptides, benefit from that diseases such as eczema, Bacterial colonization of the skin plays an important role.
